Little Boxes

A couple of weeks ago I did a comedy course with Funny Women which was brilliant. I did it because I wanted some of that affirmative joy that you can only get by dicking about with a bunch of strangers in a room (albeit virtual this time around). I chose the course because Logan Murray was involved and he is simply fantastic - if you get the opportunity to work with him, you should. I learned so much from all the teachers; the power house that is Lynne Parker, the analysis of how to construct a joke from Sally Holloway and particular thanks go to Dr Maggie Irving for helping me think about how to use this new space on line.

The course made me reflect on all the tricks and tips for writing jokes that I have been practising over the last 5 years (bloody hell) as well as learning a lot of new things; not least how to do comedy in our new socially distant world.

I am very lucky to have excellent friends. Recording this with them has been one of the highlights of lockdown. This pretty much sums up how I am living at the moment. On Zoom I will remain.
